Daniel Lacalle has a PhD in Economics, is Professor of Global Economy and Financial Analyst (CIIA title), with a post-graduate degree in IESE and Master's Degree in Economy Investigation (UCV).

Author of "Life In The Financial Markets" (Wiley, 2014), "The Energy World Is Flat" (Wiley, 2014, w Diego Parrilla), "Escape From Central Bank Trap" (Business Expert Press) and "Freedom or Equality" (PostHill Press). Regular collaborator with CNBC, Bloomberg, Mises, Hedgeye, Focus Economics, Sound Money Project US, and The Wall Street Journal. His bestselling books have been published in Spanish (Deusto), as well as in Portuguese "Nos Os Mercados" and Chinese.

Mr Lacalle has more than 25 years of experience in the finance sector, including experience in North Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. He was voted Top 3 Generalist and Number 1 Pan-European Buyside Individual in Thomson Reuters' Extel Survey in 2011, the leading survey among companies and financial institutions.
